Maitha Al Shamsi receives Serbian Minister of Labour

ABU DHABI, 22nd January 2022 Dr.

Maitha bint Salem Al Shamsi, Minister of State, received today Darija Kisic Tepavcevic, Serbian Minister of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Policy.

They discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries, particularly on women empowerment.

The meeting also touched on the growing relations of friendship and cooperation between the UAE and Serbia in healthcare, agricultural, energy, economic and commercial fields.

Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, in the areas of women empowerment, capability building and providing facilities and legislations supporting women’s rights.

She noted that thanks to the initiatives launched by H.

H.

Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, the UAE is ranked 18th globally and the first regionally in the women empowerment fronts.

Tepavcevic emphasised the importance of continuing cooperation and developing joint programmes towards boosting women’s role in the society.
