Covenant University denies affiliation with four fake professors uncovered by National Universities Commission

Covenant University, located in Ota, Ogun State, has strongly denied the claim that four fake professors, allegedly uncovered by the National Universities Commission (NUC), have any association with the institution.

In an official statement released on Sunday in Ota, the university’s Head of Communication Unit, ChiChi Ononiwu, addressed the allegations and clarified the university’s position on the matter.

Responding to the allegations that the NUC had identified approximately 100 fake professors across various Nigerian universities, including Covenant University, Ononiwu emphasized that the listed names in the published article were not part of the university’s faculty.

The management of Covenant University categorically stated that the mentioned individuals were not on their payroll and that the university had never engaged with them in any capacity.
