India reports 90,928 new COVID-19 cases in 24 hours

NEW DELHI, 6th January, 2022 – India has reported 90,928 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, said the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Thursday.

ANI quoted the ministry as saying that there are 2,630 Omicron cases in India so far.

The total number of recoveries from the variant stands at 995, according to the ministry.

As many as 325 patients lost their lives taking the death toll in the country to 482,876.

With this, the active caseload in the country stands at 285,401.
