A former Chief Judge of Anambra State, retired Justice Peter Umeadi has said that Nigeria is in dire need of selfless leaders, who will prioritize the needs of the people, especially youths.
Retired Justice Umeadi stated this while declaring open the 2021 Southeast Media Conference, Exhibitions and Award Presentation to deserving individuals in Awka.
The event, organized by the De Erudite Communications in collaboration with X-Fit and Association of Nigerian Inventors, featured official launch of the De Erudite Magazine, a media platform under the umbrella of Odimma Anambra Forum.
Correspondent Joseph Egbeocha reports that Justice Umeadi, a Professor of Law, who commended the media organization for its efforts in mobilizing youth for positive ventures, observed that such events help young people discover their talents and urged political leaders to prioritize the interests of the youths.
Contributing, a philanthropist, Chief Christian Ezenwoke, who expressed optimism that the incoming administration of Professor Chukwuma Soludo will consolidate on the gains of successive APGA governments in the state, described Governor Obiano’s support to Soludo as his successor as a bold step in the right direction.

On his part, an Industrialist and Developmental Economist, Dr. Chike Obidigbo said issues affecting young people are fundamental and need to be addressed, expressing hope that Professor Soludo’s administration will positively affect the entire Igbo nation, even as an author, Dr. Amaoge Iloghalu assured that Ndi-Anambra in the diaspora are willing to continue their support for governments for more positive impacts.
Earlier in his remark, the Managing Director of De Erudite Communications and Multimedia Services, Mr. Celestine Anadi said the event was aimed at exposing potentials and endowments of youths in the Southeast for economic rediscovery and overall development of the region, calling on political leaders and affluent members of the region to assist in engaging the youths in meaningful ventures.

Numerous inventors had exhibition stands at the event during which Justice Umeadi, Chief Ezenwoke, Dr. Obidigbo, Honourable Dozie Nwankwo, Anambra State Youth Leader of All Farmers Association of Nigeria, AFAN, Mr. Chisom Onugha, Dr. Mrs Charity Okoke-Nwosu, among others received awards for various positive contributions to the society.
