It was a black Sunday in Onitsha metropolis as fire gutted some petrol stations along Awka road, near Zik’s roundabout Onitsha.
The inferno which started in the night affected some petrol stations and gas plants around the area.
The affected petrol and gas stations are Haris gas plant and Christy petrol station as of the time of this report.
The cause of the inferno is yet to be ascertained. Fire fighters were on ground battling vigorously to quench the inferno to avoid further spread to other petrol stations within the axis.
