Yuletide: Anambra State Committee On Petroleum Products Warns Petrol Marketers Against Sharp Practices

The Chairman, Anambra State Committee on Procurement, Pricing, Regulation and Distribution of Petroleum products, Chief Chris Okonkwo has warned petrol marketers in the State not to engage in unwholesome practices during this yuletide.

 

Chief Okonkwo who gave this warning in his office in Awka while speaking to the ABS, said that his team has  already commenced monitoring of petrol stations and surveillance to ensure that they stick to all ethical standards guiding the market.

 

He assured that they will ensure that no marketer increases the pump price of fuel, adjust his meter or sell adulterated products to the consumers, warning that anybody who engages in  unwholesome practices, must face the full weight of the law.

 

Chief Okonkwo also stated that his committee will remove any petrol or gas station built in a residential area in order to forestall danger, especially now that harmattan is gradually setting in.

 

The Anambra State Committee Chairman on Procurement, Pricing, Regulation and Distribution of Petroleum products said that the governor Willie Obiano’s administration is highly determined to ensuring that Ndi Anambra have the best of festive season, that is devoid of any form of illegality or sharp practices by any person, group of persons as well as associations and organizations in the state.
