COVID-19: Nigeria confirms 54 new cases

Nigeria has confirmed 54 new cases of the deadly coronavirus also known as COVID-19.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control NCDC confirmed the cases on Saturday night via its official Facebook page.

The NCDC explained that the new cases were recorded from 9 States- “Lagos (25), Oyo (11), FCT (6), Kwara (3), Rivers (3), Bauchi (2), Delta (2), Kano (1), and Ogun (1).

Today’s report includes 2 cases reported from Delta State for 3rd (1) and 4th (1) Dec, 1 case reported from Kano State for 3rd (1) and 4th (0) Dec, 0 cases from Ekiti, Gombe, Ondo, Osun, Plateau, and Sokoto States” the NCDC added.

These latest figures bring the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 214,567 with 207,427 discharged and 2,980 COVID-19 related deaths.
