Catholic Faithful In Awka Join Others To Commemorate Feast Of Christ The King

Different Parishes in the Catholic Diocese of Awka, yesterday joined their counterparts to commemorate the feast Of Christ the King.

The parishes led procession from their Churches through major streets and roads in Awka such as Zik Avenue to Arroma, Ifite-Awka singing praises and adoration accompanied by different musical instruments.

The crowd sang and danced as the monstrance conveying the blessed Holy Sacrament led the way.

The Bishop of the Diocese, Most Reverend Paulinus Ezeokafor, led the faithful in procession to proclaim Jesus Christ as the king of the universe.

In Nigeria, Catholic faithful look forward to the exciting moment of the processions around their Dioceses, spreading the gospel and life of Jesus Christ in  their testimonies in the Christendom.

For the children it was a fun moment as young girls were engaged in spraying flowers during the procession and the boys handled  the drums, singing and dancing.
