Nigeria, US sign Development Objectives Assistance Agreement

Nigeria and the United states have signed the $2.

1 billion 2021 – 2026 Development Objectives Assistance Agreement (DOAG).

Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Geoffrey Onyema and the US Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken yesterday signed the agreement acting through the U.

S Agency for International Development (USAID), and the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

 

Meanwhile, Vice-President Osinbajo who was present during the signing of agreement said: ‘’Succeeding a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari, my meeting with Secretary Blinken occasioned the signing of the 2021-2026 Development Objective Assistance Agreement (DOAG).

“Acting through the U.

S Agency for Intentional Development (USAID), the DOAG will play a role in supporting the achievement of our development goals, particularly regarding better healthcare and economic growth.
