Chief Judge urges families to live in unity

The retired Chief Judge of Ebonyi State Southeast Nigeria, Justice Aloysius Nwankwo has called on families to live in unity in order to have a peaceful society.

Justice Nwankwo made the call during the wedding Ceremony of his Second Son Barrister Simon Nwankwo and Dr Evia Aligwe the daughter of the State Commissioner for Human Capital development at State Ecumenical Center Abakaliki, the State Capital.

Nwankwo said he was happy to see his second son become ‘a full man today.


He encouraged the new couple to allow God be the leader of their marriage.

The wife of the Chief Judge Mrs Lilian Nwankwo thanked God for a day like this and wished them well in their marriage.

The parents of the bride, Barrister and Mrs Romanus Aligwe was full of joy for what God has done.

The Chairman Revenue Mobilization, Allocation and Fiscal Commission, Chief Elias Mbam advised the couple to “never allow any third party to ruin their marriage.


Chief Mbam during the Occasion advised the couple to learn the good virtues of the families where they come from.

A former Nigerian Minister for Power and steel, Chief Godwin Ogbaga and his wife a former lawmaker at Federal house of Representatives Barrister Elizabeth Ogbaga both expressed happiness over the holy matrimony that was established.

“There is no perfect home so to say.

You must not allow anyone to lure you into anything that can disorganise the marriage, rather you should always call on God in time of distress in the marriage”.

Mrs Ogbaga added.

She called on them to always live in peace and remain chaste in order to attract God’s blessings in the marriage.

The Couple Barrister Simon and Dr Evia Nwankwo thanked all their guests and prayed for journey mercies as they go back home.
