The United States government has congratulated the citizens of Anambra State for the peaceful conduct of the gubernatorial election Saturday November 6, the outcome of which according to a statement by the US embassy in Abuja reflects the will of the people.
The statement note the tremendous challenges faced by INEC and security force personnel on the ground and commeded the efforts that led to a secure election with a credible outcome
It also applauded the engagement from civil society partners for their tireless advocacy on behalf of voters and electoral transparency and look forward to continued improvements in the electoral process as the country heads to gubernatorial elections in Osun and Ekiti in 2022 and the general elections in 2023.
