Governor Ron DeSantis Appoints Ronald Ficarrotta to the Commission on Mental Health and Substance Abuse
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Today, Governor Ron DeSantis announced the appointment of Ronald Ficarrotta to the Commission on Mental Health and Substance Abuse.
Ronald Ficarrotta
Ficarrotta, of Tampa, is Chief Judge for Florida’s 13th Judicial Circuit. Previously, he was a Hillsborough County Judge and an Assistant State Attorney. Judge Ficarrotta created the circuit’s Mental Health Court and Juvenile Mental Health Court and currently oversees both. He earned his bachelor’s degree in advertising from the University of Florida and juris doctor from the South Texas College of Law.
