8.7 million audience watched the Platinum Jubilee pageant parade finale

According to television data, 8.7 million people watched the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Pageant finale on Sunday.

Despite the fact that much of the country was suffering from Jubilee hangovers, a large number of royal enthusiasts tuned in to watch the ‘very British’ and ‘wonderfully weird’ show.

A hologram of the young queen waving at royal supporters and a ceremonial military procession ushered off the final day of the four-day celebration of the Queen’s remarkable 70-year reign with pomp and splendor.

The Duke and Duchess of Cornwall, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, their children George, Charlotte, and Louis, Princess Anne, and Zara and Mike Tindall are all seated in the royal box to watch the two-mile procession through central London alongside Boris Johnson and his wife Carrie, Keir Starmer, and Sadiq Khan.

It came after a star-studded Party At The Palace concert on Saturday night, which featured Diana Ross, Sir Rod Stewart, and Eurovision champion Sam Ryder, among others.

According to TV specialists at Overnights.tv, viewership of both Sunday’s pageant and Saturday’s Party At The Palace stayed consistent throughout their respective time slots, indicating that once people turned in, few switched off.
