The attack on the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) secretariat in Gombe state, as well as the property of a prominent party member, has drawn the attention of the opposition.
According to Legit.ng, PDP national publicity secretary Debo Ologunagba vehemently condemned the arson by hoodlums suspected of working for the All Progressives Congress on Wednesday (APC).
Ologunagba described the attack on his office as cowardly, criminal, and a huge danger to Nigeria’s democracy, national security, and peaceful coexistence in a statement posted on Facebook.
He continued by claiming that the APC in Gombe state is in disarray and panicked because it is rapidly disintegrating due to the mass desertion of its prominent members.
While urging the people of Gombe to remain calm and united, the PDP also demanded that the police chief track down the perpetrators and bring them to justice.

On Monday night, the Atiku House, a campaign office, and a building along Bachi Road were set on fire.

Muntari Yau Kulsi, a PDP supporter, said the incident happened around 1: 30 a. m. , and that activities at the secretariat continued until 1: 20 a. m. when he left.

Meanwhile, as Nigeria approaches the general elections in 2023, Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto state has declared his intention to run for President.
Following a high- level stakeholder meeting in Sokoto, the PDP’ s chieftain announced this on Monday evening.
Speaking at the event, Tambuwal stated that as President of Nigeria, he is not only well prepared but also ready to address the country’ s many problems, Legit reports.
