In the opening episode of Britain’s Got Talent, a schoolboy magician from Ireland, Cillian O’Connor, stunned the judges and the audience with his impressive performance.
The 13-year-old performed a series of magic tricks, earning a standing ovation from the audience and leaving judges Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon in tears.
Simon Cowell described Cillian as “unbelievably talented” while the head judge added that there’s something incredible about him and that he’s an amazing performer.
Amanda Holden was blown away by Cillian’s performance, and Alesha Dixon added that it was clear appearing on the show meant so much to him, who was open in his act about how he struggled with social situations before finding his skills.
Cillian shared his inspiring story during his act, revealing that before discovering magic, he struggled with social skills and didn’t want to be within 50 feet of anyone.
But after discovering magic, it felt like his life changed, and he found a way to interact with people through his magic.
After his act, Cillian burst into tears when the judges gave him four yeses.
