According to authorities, a 12-year-old girl is in arrest in Tulsa, Oklahoma, for fatally stabbing her 9-year-old brother.
Thursday, just before midnight, the children’s parents were sleeping upstairs in their Tulsa home when their daughter awoke them and reported that she had stabbed her brother.
The inquiry is being conducted by the Tulsa Police Child Crisis Unit, which has custody of the youngster. A Tulsa Police press statement states that she is being kept at the Family Center for Juvenile Justice.
Late Thursday night, according to the news release, officers responded to an incident.

Police stated that when they arrived, firefighters and paramedics were already administering CPR to a 9-year-old male victim.
According to the New York Post, CPR was done at the River Bank Plaza Apartments complex.
The kid was brought to the hospital and underwent surgery, but died just after 2:30 a.m. CT due to his injuries, authorities said.
Authorities have not identified either child.
According to the agency, this is the second homicide in the city of Tulsa this year.
Chief Franklin of the Tulsa Police Department stated, “All homicides are tragic, but the second homicide in Tulsa in 2023 demonstrates a clear societal issue.” The question is how society should respond when a youngster murders another child.
Police have not disclosed a motive for the murder, claiming that it is up to the court to determine intent.
Captain Richard Meulenberg of the Tulsa Police Department told Fox 23: ‘Of course, we conducted interviews, but interviews with a 12-year-old are pretty preliminary.’ This will be a lengthy, complicated procedure that will be incredibly draining on all parties involved.
