According to the 27-year-old complainant who is a security officer at the store they were about to close at about 19:00 when she was confronted by an armed unknown African male who then signaled for more of the suspects to enter the store.
A group of African males estimated to be ten in number stormed into the store, broke display cabinets and helped themselves to cellular phoned belonging to different networks, different brands perfumes, and jewellery.
The suspects spoke Nguni language (Zulu), were wearing masks on the face and gloves on hands. They then fled the scene and some are believed to have boarded into a Silver Volkswagen Polo that was parked at the corner of Henry Street and First Avenue.
There were no injuries to any members of the staff reported.
A case of Business robbery was opened at Parkweg Police Station.
